SECURE A PLACE FOR YOUR CHILD FOR REMAINING WEEKS
The first ever series of Cambridge United Soccer Tots sessions began on Saturday morning across the region, with places still available to book for the remaining nine weeks.
Whilst the U’s first team were preparing for their Sky Bet League Two encounter against Hartlepool United in the North East, back in Cambridge the club’s FA and First Aid qualified Youth Development coaches were delivering a fun introduction to football to over 50 soccer tots across three different venues.
Aimed at children aged between two and six years old, the sessions are made up of story based activities that gave participants the opportunity to work on basic football techniques.
The sessions will also help to develop participant’s numeracy and literacy skills, as well as provide a progress route directly through to the club’s Regional Development Centre Programme.
Taking place at Bottisham, Chesterton and Cambourne, all those that attended Saturday’s first batch of sessions received their own exclusive Soccer Tots T-shirt and ball!

Alongside the club’s Youth Development coaches, Cyril the Soccer Schools Squirrel has also been on hand to help young children learn new techniques with a series of skills videos. The children then work on Cyril’s Skill at the training session with their coach!
