Harrison Dunk has signed a new one-year contract with Cambridge United…
Coming off his Testimonial year where he made 45 appearances, Dunk has put pen-to-paper on a new deal which will take him into his 12th season with the Club.
“I am delighted,” Dunk said. “As soon as I knew the Club were interested in renewing I jumped on it. Obviously the Club are going in the right direction and has been for the past few years. It is amazing to be a part of it.
“Last year we rose to every challenge and stamped our mark on the league. We have got a really good squad and hopefully we can build on that next year.”
Mark Bonner said, “Harrison continues to do what Harrison does. His popularity among the supporters is obvious and I have often said how important such characters are to the team and environment.
“He has had a strong season on the pitch and is a reliable and consistent player that we need in the squad. I love his professionalism, resilience and bravery and I think his experience is invaluable to us. We look forward to seeing what next season has in store for him.”
Dunk’s 430 appearances place him fifth on the all-time list for Cambridge United players whilst his 282 Football League appearances are the seventh most in the Club’s history.
