Greg Taylor has signed a new one-year contract with Cambridge United…
The U’s skipper has committed to a 10th season with the Club and plans are already underway to celebrate his testimonial over the coming year.
“I am really happy to be here for next year,” Taylor said. “I am ready to put last season behind me and come in ready for next season and give it a really good go.
“I am feeling good. I will be working all the way through the summer to make sure that I am ready to roll first day of pre-season and come back in good shape. I can’t wait.”
Mark Bonner said, “Greg has obviously had a tough season having played such a pivotal role in the promotion year. As he makes his way back to fitness we are delighted to take him into his testimonial year, a huge achievement in itself.
“I also look forward to continuing to work with him and benefiting from his leadership within the team. His task is to get himself back to full fitness and back to contributing to the team on the pitch. He is determined to do so and we look forward to seeing him rise to that challenge.”
Taylor’s 358 appearances for United rank him 11th in the Club’s all-time appearance list whilst his 256 Football League appearances are the joint 9th most in U’s history, level with Malcolm Webster.
