Cambridge United is delighted to announce that Harrison Dunk has signed a new one-year contract with the Club...
Heading into his 11th year with the U’s, Dunk, 30, has made 384 appearances for the Club and, COVID restrictions permitting, will be rewarded with a Testimonial event during the Summer. His new deal looks set to ensure he reaches the significant and rare milestone of 400 appearances for United.
“It was very straight forward,” Harrison said about extending his stay at the Club. “As soon as I was told the club wanted to renew my terms I just wanted to get it done as soon as possible. The Club is really going in the right direction and it is an exciting time.
Head Coach Mark Bonner added, “Harrison performed consistently well throughout the season and created good competition and balance to the team. His experience and connection to the club is a vital component to the spirit we have fostered in our team and his extended stay by another year will enable him to continuing breathing our values into the environment daily, and give him the opportunity to test himself at another level.
“I am delighted to have Harrison as a key member of our squad and look forward to continuing our working relationship. I will particularly look forward to seeing his longevity at the club rewarded and celebrated with his Testimonial game this summer, details of which we will release soon.”
Harrison’s new contract means he is the third of last season’s promotion-winning squad to agree new terms, following in the footsteps of Dimitar Mitov and Greg Taylor.
