Cambridge United is delighted to announce that Greg Taylor has signed a new one-year deal with the Club...
The centre-back has committed to a ninth season with United after starting all 46 league games last season as the Club’s promotion-winning captain, which moves him into the Club’s top 10 Football League appearance makers.
“It was an easy one,” Taylor, 31, said. “I am delighted to be here and happy to sign another year and really push to add a bit more to what we did last season. I can’t wait for next season now, it is really exciting and I am really looking forward to it.”
Mark Bonner said, “Greg is another of the squad who is fully deserving of the opportunity to test himself and lead us in to our exciting new challenge.
“His ever present record last season saw him have his best year with us on the pitch, and his influence and leadership qualities have been instrumental in the dressing room.
“I am pleased that Greg has committed to us again and look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship as we attack the task ahead of us. Long term servants are vital in a club to build connections and men like Greg understand what we are about and therefore are a vital cog in the culture.”
Taylor joins Mitov to become the second United player from last season’s promotion-winning squad to sign a new deal with the Club.
