Cambridge United are recruiting a Volunteer Grounds Person to work primarily at the Club's Bentley Road Training Ground complex in Cambridge...

The chosen candidate will work closely with the Stadium Manager & Ground Staff to carry out day-to-day duties including light maintenance work and the maintenance of all playing surfaces and surrounding areas.

Key Job Outcomes

  • Day-to-day maintenance of all playing surfaces and surrounding areas
  • Assist with some elements of grass cutting
  • Maintenance of goal posts, including netting, noting any defects, and reporting them
  • Other associated pitch duties, including but not limited to, fertilising, spraying and seeding 
  • Ensure all surfaces and surrounding areas are kept to a high standard
  • Divoting to help repair playing surfaces after training sessions and matchdays
  • Cleaning
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to this role
