The retail assistant will be required to have exceptional customer service skills, a positive attitude and be prepared to learn new skills. We are looking for someone who will provide all store visitors with a friendly experience, treating everyone in a respectful and approachable manner.

As a retail assistant you will serve on the shop floor, handle public enquiries, advise on products and upsell where possible to our customers.

We are looking for an individual who has previous experience working in a customer service environment. You will also have excellent communication and empathy skills. Matchday’s are always fast paced, so it’s essential that you can remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively.

Candidates should be flexible with a willingness to work to the stores’ shift patterns, which could cover matchdays on weekends, mid-week evening games and covering holidays during the week when required.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service in store and on the telephone
  • Showcasing your confidence in our product ranges
  • Deliver sales and meet targets
  • Maintaining excellent store standards, helping manage displays and layout
  • Collaborating with the team of staff and volunteers, in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Being a friendly face of the club as first point of contact to supporters and visitors
  • Working during home games, weekends and evenings
  • Assisting the ticket office team when required
  • Processing payments via our EPOS tills and card readers
  • Till balancing and cash handling
  • Online store order fulfilment
