Cambridge United's upcoming home game against Charlton Athletic will support and showcase the work of the Offside Trust...
Formed by a number of abuse survivors following the 2017 child sexual abuse scandal, the Offside Trust is an independent body that is seeking to further enhance safeguarding at all levels of sport.
Their aims are:
- To raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding across all sports at all levels
- To provide survivors with advice guidance and resources to aid the healing journey
- To campaign for legal and regulatory changes to improve safeguarding in sport
Representatives from the orginisation will be in attendance at the game and the players from both Cambridge United and Charlton Athletic will be wearing Offside Trust warm-up t-shirts shirts ahead of kick-off.
