Cambridge United is delighted to team up with global digital mental health specialists, Mynurva, to offer its 2023/24 Season Ticket Holders free mental health support…
Cambridge United has always prided itself on its approach to mental health and this is the first partnership of its kind in the football world, where Season Ticket Holders will be able to access Mynurva’s expert support services free of charge.
Supporters can take up personal mental health video sessions with a qualified UK counsellor, anytime, anywhere, entirely at their convenience.
Cambridge United CEO, Alex Tunbridge said, “Our supporters are there for us week in, week out and partnering with Mynurva to provide free online mental health and well-being support is a way in which we can support them.
“One in four individuals will suffer with their mental health at some point, which represents 750 of our current Season Ticket Holders.
“Caring is a key principle of the Club, be that on the pitch or off it. We have a responsibility for the welfare of our players and staff. Extending that to our supporter base is equally as important.
“To be the first Club to offer support of this kind to its supporters is exciting and we hope in partnership with Mynurva, we can make a difference.”
Dr Zain Sikafi, CEO & Co-Founder of Mynurva added, “Sometimes life is tough. Asking for help is tougher.
“Mynurva is committed to tackling mental health in sports and is delighted to be partnering with Cambridge United who understand the importance of wellbeing for players and supporters alike.”
Mynurva is available to 2023/24 Season Ticket Holders aged 18+.
Season Ticket Holders will be contacted by Mynurva at the beginning of the following month to which they purchased their Season Ticket, with information on how to use the service, should they wish to.
