Cambridge United Women lifted the Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup on Tuesday night after a hard-fought but comprehensive 3-1 victory over Cambridge City...
Sarah Wiltshire's first half goal gave the U's the lead heading into the break, before a superb strike from Sammy Edgar early in the second half put Darren Marjoram's side firmly in control.
City pulled one back just after the hour mark to make for a nervy finish, but Niamh Day made sure of the result deep into added time with a third goal for the U's that sent the Abbey wild.
