Cambridge United are delighted to announce that Myles Cowling has signed his first professional contract with the Club...
The 19-year-old made 33 appearances for St Neots Town last season, scoring four goals, as part of the development programme partnership between the two clubs.
“I have been at Cambridge United for as long as I can remember so I couldn’t be happier,” Cowling said.
“I just want to continue improving and continue earning the trust of my teammates and coaches.”
Academy Manager Dom Knighton said, “Myles had a positive season within the St Neots development programme and has earned his contract with the football club through his consistent performances both in training and matches. He has also had exposure to training with the first team throughout the season where he has always impressed.
“Myles is a tenacious centre midfield player, who has an impressive work ethic, he is also very technically capable.
“We will look for Myles to spend time on loan at the highest level possible to continue to stretch him and continue his development.”
Cowling is the fourth U’s Academy player to sign professional terms this summer, following in the footsteps of joins Kai Yearn, Saleem Akanbi and Glenn McConnell.
