Cambridge United Supporters’ Panel have confirmed Nigel Browne as Chairman, as the group re-affirm the intentions to partner with the Club on providing a new experience for fans at the Abbey Stadium.
Last month the Club confirmed the result of the CUSP election, in which 12 supporters from varying areas of the Abbey Stadium and a range of ages were selected by Cambridge United fans to form the first panel of members to represent the fanbase.
Whilst the first official CUSP meeting is set to take place in July, the newly formed group have already began to make progress on forming a structure and selecting one of the elected members - Nigel Browne - to chair the meetings.
The Supporters’ Panel can be seen as a positive example of the fresh approach the Club wishes to adopt to engage more closely with our passionate and loyal fanbase for the Next Chapter. CUSP will also play a key role in providing the views of supporters for all aspects of ‘The Next Chapter’ campaign, launched earlier this week and aiming to provide a new feel for fans at Abbey from 2019/20.
CUSP Chairman Nigel Browne commented: "The newly formed CUSP group are looking forward to working with supporters and the Football Club towards a better future for everyone connected with Cambridge United.
“We can be contacted via email and look forward to hearing fans views, comments and questions. Social media and website will be available in due course."
