Programme Preview:

Taylor remains composed about the ability available within the U’s first team, and takes confidence not only from the periods of positive play United have put together this season but also the manner in which the same group bounced back to hit a purple patch last season.

He said: “We take confidence from the fact where we have had long periods in a lot of the games so far, where being totally realistic we have played well enough to have had a different outcome result wise.

“We have to believe that will turn around and that we simply can’t keep performing at a level like we have been and not pick up results. We’re confident that will change.

“We saw last season that when you do perform at high level and the luck falls your way, you very quickly pick up a good amount of points. We can take great confidence from that.

“The whole atmosphere around the club became a lot more positive on and off the field and that in itself has an effect on how well we were able to perform. I believe it’s only a matter of time before that will happen this season and the whole environment will be a better place to push on.”
