CAMBRIDGE UNITED APPOINT IAN MATHER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Cambridge United today announced that Ian Mather will join the Board of Directors of Cambridge United with immediate effect.

Commenting on the appointment, Director of Business Shaun Grady said: “We are delighted that Ian has agreed to become a Board member at Cambridge United. Ian brings a vast amount of business experience to the Board from his lengthy and successful legal career at Mills & Reeve and also has an extensive network of contacts across the Cambridge business and political community.

“Ian already knows the Club well - both through working with the Trust and also helping the Board evaluate options for the potential Stadium redevelopment. Following his recent retirement from M&R, this was the perfect time to invite Ian to join the Board.

Ian Mather said "Everyone associated with Cambridge United are right to be ambitious for the Club and I look forward to making a contribution as a member of the Board to help achieve success both on and off the pitch."

The search is underway to identify a replacement on the Board for Steve Chamberlain, who recently stood down as Finance Director and we will make an announcement at the appropriate time.
