PREVIEW:
Halliday has become an integral member of the United back four, contributing towards the solid run of games defensively as well as giving the U’s his energy down the right wing going forward.
Reflecting on United’s current League form Halliday said: “We’ve been on a really good run of late and managed to pick up good results, especially in the League. At home we’ve managed to find a way that means we can win games, which is where we struggled a bit last season.
“And away we’ve had to face tough sides like Lincoln and Grimsby but come away with two very important points. Those games are just as important really as it helps us to keep the momentum going.
“We want to keep that run gong as long as we can. Last year before Christmas we did the same and it put us into a great position in the League table, unfortunately we couldn’t make the most of that. But we are in a great position to do that again, so our focus game by game is to get a little bit closer each time.”
