MATCH PREVIEW | YEOVIL TOWN – AWAY

MATCH PREVIEW | YEOVIL TOWN – AWAY

Cambridge United are quickly back on the road this evening against Yeovil Town in Sky Bet League Two, with the U’s going on the hunt for three points that would lift them back up the table.

Shaun Derry’s men travel to Huish Park hoping to restore the strong form they showed prior to New Year which saw them reach the top seven. The U’s currently find themselves in 14th position and a win over the Glovers who are placed in 16th, two points behind, would help to propel them up the League ladder.

The return of Barry Corr, who featured for 30 minutes in Saturday’s defeat to Morecambe was a positive for United who will look to continue managing his full recovery from injury.

The U’s can also take confidence from the 1-0 victory over this evening’s opponents back in September, with a goal from Mark Roberts separating the sides under the lights of the Cambs Glass Stadium at that occasion.

As for Yeovil Town, they head into the encounter looking for their first win in three Sky Bet League Two matches. Their last three points came from an impressive 2-1 win over League Two high flyers Plymouth Argyle at Huish Park at the end of January.

Back-to-back 1-1 draws in the League against Leyton Orient and Hartlepool United mean the Glovers are finely poised in mid-table.

Despite the U’s victory earlier in the season, the Devon side still hold the advantage in the overall head-to-head records between the sides, with five wins to the U’s three.

Tickets for the game are available on the gate at Huish Park for travelling United supporters.
