200 CHILDREN ENJOY SOCCER SCHOOLS OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME TO PLAY ON THE PITCH

NEXT UP WHITSUN HALF-TERM SOCCER SCHOOL

Over 200 children replicated their heroes in Amber and Black on Sunday, with the Elms Cambridge BMW Soccer Schools on the pitch event at the Abbey Stadium.

Just one day after the U’s had played their final match of the Sky Bet League Two season on home soil, it was the turn of children aged between 2 and 14 years old to show off their skills on the hallowed turf.

Whether it was the Soccer Tots session for 2-5 year olds, or the Soccer Schools programme for children of all ages and abilities, participants were given the chance to run out of the tunnel, enjoy plenty of football on the pitch alongside Cambridge United’s Youth Development coaches, before being awarded a medal in the Director’s Box at the end of the day.

Next up for the Cambridge United Soccer Schools, the Whitsun half-term Soccer School approaches and the Summer Soccer School programme is also not too far in the distant future, with places available to book now.

A four day Whitsun half-term course will be rolled out across 20 venues, with the increase in locations designed to make it easier still for parents to get their child to a local Soccer School venue.

Cambridge United are also introducing CU FlexiTime – the new way to secure your summer childcare. Through this new initiative you can secure a booking for five, nine, 10 or 14 days, without the need to give us the dates for your bookings.

This will give parents peace of mind that their childcare needs are taken care of, without having to rush into booking that all important summer holiday!

However, if you do know the dates you want, the Whitsun (Tuesday 31 May - Friday3 June) and summer courses (five week programme) are now available to book now
