FIXTURE CHANGE: GRIMSBY TOWN
Cambridge United's Sky Bet League Two clash against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park will now be played Friday 14th April, 3:00pm.The game was originally scheduled to take place at 3:00pm on Saturday 15th April, but has now been brought forward by 24 hours to allow an extra day recovery for both teams ahead of their respective Easter Monday fixtures.
The change means United’s Easter schedule will see them travel to Grimsby Town on Good Friday before returning to the Cambs Glass Stadium on Monday 17th April to face Exeter City (Kick off 3:00pm).
Shaun Derry’s men begin their 2016/17 Sky Bet League Two campaign against Barnet on Saturday 6th August at the Cambs Glass Stadium, 3:00pm.
However, before then the U’s will be put through their paces on home soil against the 1981 UEFA Cup champions Ipswich Town on Saturday 23rd July (Kick Off 3:00pm), and the 1982 European Cup Champions Aston Villa four days later (Kick Off 7:30pm).
