Legge wins Supporter’s Player of the Season award

Leon Legge was today presented with the Supporter’s Player of the Season accolade following the clash with Plymouth Argyle.

The defender’s consistent form throughout the season has been recognised by the Amber Army, with hundreds of people taking part in the online poll to crown Legge their winner. 

The former Gillingham man has become a popular figure with the United faithful and it is easy to see why after a number of wholehearted, committed displays at the heart of Shaun Derry’s defence. 

He has been a near ever-present throughout the campaign having made 37 appearances. 

The defender has scored three goals from central defence and also contributed with two assists whilst making 74 clearances as he has put his body on the line all season.
