UPDATE ON ALL THE U'S OUT ON LOAN

Check out how the U’s players currently out on loan fared in latest weekend’s round of fixtures.

Matt Lowe

Cambridge United midfielder Matt Lowe completed his one month loan spell with Wealdstone FC on Saturday afternoon, playing his part in a 2-1 away win against Havant & Waterlooville.

The 19-year started his fourth game for the Stones in his final appearance, whilst he has also featured as a substitute on one occasion and has now completed a very successful period at St Georges Stadium and returns to the U’s.

Will Norris

Will Norris conceded his first goals in three fixtures for Braintree Town on Saturday afternoon, with the Essex side falling to a 2-0 at the hands of play-off searching rivals Lincoln City.

Norris however did make an impressive save during the first half of the fixture, in which he pushed a powerful drive from Lincoln defender Chris Bush over the cross bar to ensure the teams went down the tunnel level at break.

So far this season the U’s shot stopper has kept clean sheets on eight occasions and continues to gain precious game time with the Vanarama National league outfit.

James Akintunde

James Akintunde got his loan spell with Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town off to the perfect start, registering a goal and hitting the post in a 3-2 win over Gainsborough Trinity.

The U’s striker cut inside from the left hand side before burying a shot into the back of the net during the second half of Saturday’s match to begin his one month in Northamptonshire with a bang.
