Inc. LONDON LIMITED SPONSOR 2015/16 TRACKSUITS

U's Announce Sponsorship with Inc.

Cambridge United are delighted to announce Inc. (Incorporated London Limited) as the primary sponsor of the club’s 2015/16 tracksuits.

The communications and marketing consultancy, based in London, first came on board with the club for the fourth round FA Cup fixture against Manchester United last season. This season they have agreed to take up full sponsorship of the tracksuits for the entirety of the current campaign

This season’s tracksuits are available to purchase in both navy with white zip and trim as well as white with navy zip and trim for just £65, with the items taking on a unique retro feel for the forthcoming campaign.

Godric Smith CBE, who co-founded Inc. In 2013, commented: “Inc. is proud to continue its sponsorship of Cambridge United Football Club.

“As a lifelong fan it is fantastic to see how far the Club has come over recent times both on and off the pitch. There is a real sense of anticipation for the new season.

“The Club feels a bigger part of the City than it has done for years. Most important now is for the Council to give the green light to the development later this year that will allow the Club to begin the next stage of its transformation.”

Smith’s involvement with Cambridge United goes far deeper than his agency’s current commercial involvement with the club. As the former Press Secretary to Prime Minister Tony Blair he played a key role in helping save the club from extinction ten years ago.

Smith was able to present the dire situation that the U’s had found themselves in to the then Sports Minister Richard Caborn. Caborn stepped in and was able to broker the deal with the Inland Revenue that secured the Club's future, working with Finance Director Nick Pomery and administrator Ian Carr.

Delighted that Cambridge United are continuing to work so closely with Inc., Business Development Manager Liz Slack said: “I am delighted that Inc. have renewed their association with Cambridge United for the 2015-2016 season.

“Whilst the profile of the club within the city of Cambridge depends to some extent upon the success on the pitch, there is no doubt that securing sponsorship and support from companies such as Inc. significantly raises this profile and reputation.”

“Seeing the Inc. logo, so boldly emblazoned upon the training tops of the Cambridge United squad at Old Trafford last season has become a lasting memory. The partnership between Inc. and Cambridge United Football Club has become one of the many great legacies from this game.”
