Extra Trains from First Capital Connect on Sunday
FIRST Capital Connect (FCC) will add extra train services and strengthen others to help Cambridge United fans travelling to and from London for the FA Trophy Final on Sunday 23 March.
Of these strengthened and extra services, a small number will consist of 12-car trains which FCC normally doesn’t operate at the weekends.
Fans will also be able to take advantage of FCC’s super off-peak tickets, where a return from Cambridge to London King’s Cross is only £16 – and this can be further discounted with GroupSave where groups of three or four people can travel for the price of two.
FCC Customer Service Director, Keith Jipps, said:
“We are delighted to have been able to add extra trains and lengthen others to cater for all the Cambridge United fans travelling to London that day. Our super off-peak tickets are fantastic value for those making the journey and can be discounted furthermore with our GroupSave scheme for those travelling in groups."
“We wish the club all the best in the final and hope all the fans have an enjoyable day out.”
U's Chairman, Dave Dogget, said:
"We're grateful to First Capital Connect for providing extra trains and strengthening their services on Sunday. We're looking forward to seeing thousands of U's fans in London and hope that everyone enjoys the day."
Please note that super off-peak tickets are only valid on First Capital Connect trains.
