Cambridge United are pleased to announce the signing of Ryan Loft…
The 26-year-old joins after an undisclosed fee was agreed with Port Vale to bring the striker to the Club.
After coming through the Tottenham Hotspur Academy as a youngster, Loft joined Leicester City’s development squad in 2018.
Two years later, he signed for Scunthorpe United, where his performances attracted the eye of Bristol Rovers, whom he joined in 2022.
After helping Rovers to promotion in the first six months of his time in Bristol, Loft played a further season with the Club before he joined Port Vale.
He now signs with the U’s on a three-year deal, with a Club Option on a fourth-year.
“I am over the moon,” Loft said. "I had some great chats with the Manager where he outlined his plans for myself and for the team, which made it an easy decision to join in the end.
“The Club has shown a lot of faith in me and I am motivated to pay them back with good performances on the pitch.”
Garry Monk added, “Ryan is a very talented player who has all the right attributes to be a successful striker in this league. He also has a fantastic attitude, and we believe that we can help get the best out of his talents and that he can enjoy a really successful time with us.
“I am delighted that we have been able to bring him into the Club and I look forward to working closely with him over the next season and beyond.”
