Cambridge United is pleased to announce the official opening of its new Club Shop and Ticket Office which will open its doors for the first time at Saturday's match against Crawley Town...
Located on the old Thrifty site on Newmarket Road, the new Club Shop and Ticket Office will provide up to 4x more retail space, as well as improved ticket purchase and collection points.
In addition, the opening of the facility will coincide with new extended opening hours, which will come into effect from next week.
Opening Hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday: 9am-6pm or 9am-kick off + 30 mins post-game (Home games only)
- Wednesday: Closed
- Thursday: 9am-4pm
- Friday: 9am-4pm
- Saturday: 10am-kick-off + 30 mins post-game (Home games only)
- Sunday: Closed
Ticket Office phone lines are open from 9am-3pm throughout the week, except on Wednesday's when lines are closed.
CEO Alex Tunbridge said, "As a Club we have seen exponential growth of our supporter base in the past few years, with our average home attendances rising by 60% since playing in League One. Alongside this, we have seen a natural increase in ticketing demands and retail sales. The reality is that our previous facilities are no longer fit for purpose.
"Whilst we intend to build a new Club Shop and Ticket Office in the new Newmarket Road Stand, when we redevelop the stadium, right now we need bigger and improved facilities and we are pleased to be opening these on Saturday.
"Growing our retail ranges has been one of key strategies in recent seasons and the demand seen for this year’s ranges further highlights the needs for the works which have been undertaken."
Supporters visiting the new Club Shop on Saturday will also be able to purchase the full range of replica shirts which have now been fully restocked, alongside bucket hats, retro drill tops and first team training and travel wear.
