Together Against Racism
Cambridge United is supporting the EFL's Together Against Racism campaign at this Saturday’s home game against Burton Albion.
We believe that football is a game for everyone, everywhere, and we are proud of the welcoming atmosphere that you create at the Cledara Abbey Stadium every matchday. However, every season there are hundreds of reports of discrimination across the game, and likely more go unrecorded.
Whether you're a player, a manager, watching in the stands or at home - your voice matters. Our voices are a powerful tool for change - when we speak up, come together and use our voices we can drive change.
As part of the Together Against Racism campaign, we are highlighting United supporter, Kwami Canacoo, who is working with the Club to create a Supporters Group for Ethnic Minorities and the Global Majority.
Kwami will be located behind the Club Shop on Saturday where supporters can meet him to find out more.
Click here to read more and watch the video below to hear his story.
Remembrance Tribute and British Legion Collection...
This weekend’s home match will be the Club's annual Remembrance Fixture.
Fans are asked to bring their spare change for our bucket collectors as we raise funds for the Fulbourn and Teversham British Legion branch.
Collectors - made up of volunteers and local cadets - will be located all around the Cledara Abbey Stadium in the hours leading up to the match, so if you can, please give generously to support their appeal.
The Club will also honour the sacrifices made by servicemen and women from across the United Kingdom with a pre-match tribute ahead of kick-off, which will be supported by a Standard Bearer and members of the 2620 Sqn RAF Regiment Reserved Cambridge.
Players, coaching staff and match officials will emerge from the tunnel earlier than usual, with representatives from both Clubs laying a poppy wreath on the edge of the centre circle.
Supporters are then invited to join in for a minute's silence, followed by the playing of the Last Post by a local Bugler.
Guinness World Record signing station
Supporters can once again take part in the Club's Guinness World Records™ attempt for the most signatures on a piece of sports memorabilia ahead of Saturday's game.
We are aiming to beat the existing record of 2,089 signatures with a 40XL home shirt and are now approaching 1000 signatures.
We need more help though! If you didn't sign it at last weekend's game against Wigan, then come and visit us on Saturday,
Please note, signees must bring photo ID. If you would like to help out with the attempt, please email supporterservices@cambridgeunited.com.
School Vouchers…
Saturday’s game is the third of five fixtures that children in local primary schools can redeem their 2024/25 School Vouchers for! Thousands of kids across the community have been given vouchers which entitle them to discounted family tickets at selected games.
