Cambridge United are pleased to announce that James Brophy has signed a two-year contract...

The 29-year-old midfielder has been a mainstay in the team for the past three years - making over 150 appearances for the U's since joining in 2021.

He now signs a new deal to extend his stay at the Cledara Abbey Stadium ahead of the team's return for pre-season.

"I am thrilled to be staying with the club and continuing my time here at Cambridge United," Brophy said.

"We have some really great moments together and it has been a great fit. The gaffer has laid out where he wants this team to be, and I am excited to be a part of that."
