As part of Green Football Weekend’s ‘Great Save’, we are pleased to welcome the British Heart Foundation to Saturday’s game against Peterborough United as we call upon supporters to prevent their unwanted items from ending up in landfill…
We are working with our friends at the British Heart Foundation to help turn waste into lifesaving funds, by selling your unwanted goods in their local stores, which helps raise funds that continue their research into heart and circulatory diseases.
The BHF team will be at the front of the ground on Saturday, nearby the Kids’ Zone, taking donations from supporters.
They are most in need of children’s toys and men’s clothing, but will also gladly accept all of the following:
- Clothing - womenswear, menswear, children's and shoes etc
- Accessories - jewellery, watches, handbags, purses and wallets etc
- Books - comics, antiques, fiction and non-fiction and kids books etc
- Small electricals - home audio and visual and home appliances etc
- Technology - phones, tablets, PCs and laptops etc. Find out how to get your phone or tablet ready for donation.
- Musical instruments - guitars, keyboards and trumpets etc
- Entertainment - video games, vinyl, games consoles, toys and games etc
- Homeware - vases, glassware and silver etc
- Collectables - stamps, coins and notes etc
If you would like to donate any larger items, such as furniture or electrical appliances, the BHF team will be able to arrange a booking for them to come and collect from your house in the coming days.
