Cambridge Fans United (CFU) are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as volunteer Away Travel Coach Stewards...
Stewards play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our supporters when traveling to away matches and CFU are looking to expand their team.
The role includes checking people in at the Cledara Abbey Stadium, carrying out headcounts each time passengers board, keeping travellers updated and liaising with the other stewards on multi-coach journeys.
Responsibilities
Supporting Supporters:
- Act as a point of contact for supporters on the Away Travel Coach(es), providing assistance and answering enquiries related to travelling to away matches
- Address any issues or concerns raised by supporters during the journey and ensure their comfort and safety throughout
Health and Safety:
- Provide guidance to supporters on safety procedures and emergency protocols where necessary
Safeguarding
- Provide guidance to supporters on safeguarding issues, procedures and reporting details if necessary
Feedback and Improvement:
- Gather feedback from supporters about their travel experiences and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Reliable and enthusiastic
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of football and experience attending away matches preferred but not essential
- Availability to assist with stewarding the Away Travel Coach for away matches (including weekends, evenings and bank holidays)
- Awareness of Safeguarding procedures
