This weekend's game against Northampton Town is the Club's dedicated Her Game Too Matchday as the Club celebrates the role of Women in Football...
As part of the day, local girls grassroots teams have been invited to the game at a discounted price, Cambridge United Women will be partaking in a lap of honour and the Club's Emerging Talent Centre U10s will showcase their skills in a half-time game on the pitch.
In addition, First Team players will wear Her Game Too warm-up t-shirts and the Matchday Programme will be dedicated to Women in Football, with a number of special features throughout.
Cambridge United's Her Game Too ambassador, Emma Smith said, "Our Club partnered with Her Game Too in October 2021, and were one of the first EFL teams to do so. I’m very proud of the commitment the Club has given to celebrate the partnership and show its continued support.
“On Saturday we welcome girls’ teams from around Cambridgeshire – for some of the girls, it’ll be their first experience of a matchday at the Abbey. I’m looking forward to meeting them when we bring our selfie board through the stands, as together we show that Football is a Game for All.”
