The 32-year-old forward joined the U’s last summer on an initial one-year deal and has now put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract to extend his stay with the Club.
“I am delighted to sign a new contract with Cambridge United,” Kachunga said.
“I am really enjoying my time here and the City is even more special to me and my family now that my son has been born here. I am looking forward to the new season now and seeing all the fans once again.”
Garry Monk added, “Elias was a key member of the squad last season and I am delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for another season.
“His experience and quality as a footballer and his personality are invaluable assets - I look forward to working with him again in 2024/25.”
