Places to play alongside U's legends at the Cledara Abbey Stadium in the CB Groundworks Charity Game have now sold out...
As a long-standing commercial partner of the Club, CB Groundworks will host an 11-a-side match on Thursday 4 April, with all proceeds from the event going to Cambridge United Foundation and Ian Darler's Cambridge Charity Fundraisers.
The charity match will see a host of Cambridge United legends and former players - including John Taylor, Steve Fallon, Josh Coulson, Malcolm Webster, Liam O'Neil and Barry Corr - take to the pitch alongside fans, giving them the chance to experience playing on the historic pitch alongside their former heroes.
Kevin Johnson of CB Groundworks said, "We are thrilled to support two outstanding local charities through this end-of-season fixture at the Cledara Abbey Stadium.
"As a local company with a long history of supporting the Club, we consider it a privilege to organise this charity game. The event last year raised over £6000 for both charities and we are determined to raise more this April!"
"We are grateful to be part of this wonderful event, Tim Walker of Cambridge United Foundation added. "The shared values of the two charities and the significance of the Cledara Abbey Stadium as a community hub make this event particularly meaningful. We embrace initiatives like this that bring people together."
