Liam Bennett has won the 2023/24 Cambridge United and CFU Player of the Season Award...
The 22-year-old full-back was the clear winner of the fans' public vote, as he earned 60% of the nearly 1000 votes cast.
In his first full season as a member of the First Team squad, Bennett has made 50 appearances, winning five Man of the Match awards and two Player of the Month gongs.
"It's an honour to win this award and I would like to thank my family, my girlfriend, the staff, my teammates and the fans for all there support this year, as it wouldn’t have been possible without them," Bennett said.
"It's been an up-and-down season so far and we still have a job to do, so my focus along with the rest of the team is on Tuesday's game and finishing the season strong."
Ipswich loanee, Gassan Ahadme won the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Player of the Season, as his 12 goals and all-action performances leading the line have helped the U's to a number of crucial wins to date.
Cambridge United Foundation's Community Player of the Year is George Thomas, for his outstanding attitude and willingness towards his community work throughout the season.
The Club would like to place on records its sincere congratulations to all three winners.
