Cambridge United supporters can now vote for their Love Cambridge Player of the Month for August 2023...
The Player of the Month partnership between the Club and Love Cambridge has been extended for another year, so supporters can once again vote for their best-performing players to be awarded the monthly accolade.
There was no shortage of nominees for August after a fine month for the U's which saw the team pick up nine points from their opening five league games.
This month's nominees are Jack Stevens, Gassan Ahadme, Fejiri Okenabirhie and George Thomas, all of whom have put in a sterling set of performances to begin the season.
Three clean sheets and a handful of exceptional one-on-one saves have made Stevens an automatic selection for a nomination, whilst Ahadme's line-leading performances up front have added a new dimension to United's attack, scoring two goals in the process.
Okenabirhie's three goals across all competitions leads the way for the team, whilst Thomas' industrious efforts in the midfield have added tenacity, bite and quality to Mark Bonner's side.
