After Will Mannion picked up the November gong, a further four players are up for December's award.
United's form picked up during the course of the last month, with four points picked up from four league games, including a goalless draw against title-chasing Plymouth Argyle and the 2-1 win over Shrewsbury Town on Boxing Day.
The Love Cambridge September nominees are Jack Lankester, Shilow Tracey, Ben Worman and James Brophy.
Lankester continued to show his development with a number of industrious and creative performances for the team, Tracey scored the all-important equaliser in impressive style against Shrewsbury, Worman became a mainstay in central midfield and Brophy showed his versatility to step in at full-back amidst a pletheroa of injuries to the U's squad.
