Cambridge United's Academy has partnered with Go Again, a charity that provides professional psychological support to individuals within sport who are struggling with their mental health...
Go Again helps provide support for all staff, players, and academy alumni that is quick and easy to access.
An on-call service means that if anybody in the building has concerns about themselves or somebody else within the Club, they can contact Go Again's professionals at any time or day. Flexible communication methods mean players or staff can have conversations face to face, via text or email.
Callum Langley, Player Care Manager said, "This partnership really highlights the steps forward that we are trying to make as an Academy to create a Mentally Healthy Environment for everyone involved.
"As an Academy we feel we are making big strides in this area. Go Again will also be coming into the building to deliver workshops surrounding mental health and emotional wellbeing to ensure all players and exposed to thoughts and feelings associated with poor mental health in order to build their confidence initiating discussion within this area.
We are incredibly excited to begin to work closely within our partnership with Go Again to begin to make forward steps and have a real impact on those within our academy family."
