Cambridge United, through its Community Trust, have partnered with the University of South Wales to deliver an exciting Football Coaching degree...
Do you want a university degree and a career in football? By partnering with the University of South Wales, we are offering students the opportunity to study an established Football Coaching Degree, whilst being based at Cambridge United.
The Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development is a two-year course with an option of a third top-up year, which will see you graduate with BSc (Hons) Community Football Coaching and Administration.
Delivered through a blended learning approach, you will deliver a minimum of 200 practical coaching hours, spread across the year, to enhance your skills as a coach, this is supported with lectures delivered in classrooms at the Abbey Stadium through online content, overseen by your course mentor.
With the broad variety of taught modules within the course, many career paths and opportunities become a possibility from elite football to football in the community; by the end of your degree you will be prepared to work in a professional football club’s community department or a National Governing Body in areas of growth, such as social inclusion, community coaching and football development.
The course also provides the opportunity to gain other valuable industry recognised qualifications such as UEFA C License in football coaching.
So, what do you need to apply? The typical A-level offer is DD with at least one in Science, Maths, PE or Psychology. From a BTEC Diploma you will require MP and the BTEC Extended Diploma requirement is MPP in a relevant subject. However, each and every application will be reviewed and considered.
