On Monday 3rd April 2023, nine Premier League Kicks participants were given the chance to represent Cambridge United at the regional qualifiers for the U16 Premier League Kicks Cup...
This involved competitive matches against other teams from Norwich City, Luton Town, Stevenage, Peterborough United, MK Dons and Colchester United.
Alongside the competitive football matches, the participants also took part in educational workshops.
One workshop was delivered by Norfolk Wildlife Trust, which saw the participants learn about environment projects they could start in their community, and the second was with the British Red Cross, learning about first aid and useful resources someone may need in an emergency.
The official Premier League trophy was also present on the day, which our team was able to take photos with. They also all received a Nike Premier League hoodie and an official Premier League standard match ball.
The highlight of the day had to be winning the fair play award though - all players and coaches displayed extremely positive behaviour, supporting other players and teams and promoting good sportsmanship throughout the day.
Congratulations to all of the players from everyone at Cambridge United!
