Cambridge United Academy players have been celebrating Black History Month throughout October with an educational project that includes a variety of activities to highlight the importance of this month...
The annual celebration is an opportunity to acknowledge the historic achievements of the Black community with the schoolboys completing research tasks, past and present player profiles and looking at other sporting heroes.
Head of Academy Education, Harsh Joshi said, "It is important to remember the significance of this historic timeline and by setting all Academy players to partake in this project, it has allowed us to do so in a way which educates our young players on past and present players that have represented Cambridge United along with, providing a deeper understanding of equality and diversity in our society."
The Club would like to congratulate the schoolboys who have worked incredibly hard on the project to celebrate black players throughout Cambridge United’s history, champion diversity and show the collective power inclusion and tolerance brings us all.
