Cambridge United supporters are to be made aware of renovations, improvements and new additions to the Club’s Matchday catering services ahead of the 2022/23 season…
In a bid to improve speed of service and the supporter Matchday experience before, during and after games at the Abbey Stadium, the Club is working with its catering partner, BaxterStorey to provide new food and drink offerings in-time for the new season.
New catering units are being installed in the Main Stand, South Stand and Habbin, which will include exciting new food and drink options, including locally sourced pies and pasties, gourmet hot dogs and a street eat which will rotate on a game by game basis.
Existing Tea Bars in the Habbin and South Stand are also being converted into Pie & Pint Bars, whilst all other Tea Bars are being refurbished and will include refreshed food and drink choices for fans to enjoy.
In addition, the Abbey Arms will be replaced with a new bar and additional beer pumps will be installed throughout the stadium, making the sale of both food and drink more accessible.
Endeavours to find a solution for supporters in the Newmarket Road End to be able to enjoy the same food and drink options as those in the Habbin and Main Stand are ongoing.
With the increase in Matchday Bars around the ground and following an unprecedented rise in Hospitality demands last season, access to the Dublin Bar will be limited to supporters with a Signature Suite Hospitality ticket for the majority of games next season.
Providing an enhanced Matchday experience to supporters whilst increasing revenue is crucial to the Club’s strategy for next season and beyond.
It is hoped that these changes will make a difference in both of these areas as the Club aims to provide a quicker, more varied service to all supporters at an affordable price.
Further updates will be issued to supporters in the build up to the new season.
