Intelligent Membranes have enhanced their commercial backing with an extended partnership at Cambridge United ahead of the 2022/23 season...
The Cambridgeshire-based, business have become the official sponsors of the Habbin Stand, which will be renamed The Intelligent Membranes Habbin Stand with immediate effect.
Eager to recognise the heritage of the Habbin Stand – built and funded by supporters in the early 1960s before being named after the first Supporter’s Club president, Harry Habbin – Intelligent Membranes have insisted that the Habbin name remains.
Operated by brothers Adam and Alex White Intelligent Membranes are world-leading liquid membrane suppliers and installers, including their innovative Passive Purple airtight vapour control and spray on window protection.
Alongside sister company White Haus – bespoke timber frame and passivhaus specialists – Intelligent Membranes provide ultra-low energy, sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions to the construction sector.
Having joined as club partners in 2021, Intelligent Membranes have now stepped up their commercial support for Cambridge United with their striking stag branding set to be displayed across the Habbin.
Adam White, CEO and Founder at Intelligent Membranes commented: “We’re delighted to continue growing our commitment towards Cambridge United through this sponsorship.
“So far our involvement has not only provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our service with fellow sponsors and the Club’s commercial network, but as a family we’ve really enjoyed the chance to get behind the team at matches and become a part of the Club as fans.”
He continued: “It’s certainly important to us that we recognise the heritage of a stand that’s been around 60 years prior to our arrival. Working in the construction industry, we can appreciate the significance and meaning felt by supporters, towards a structure quite literally built by the hands of Cambridge United fans themselves.
“We are honoured to share in that history and look forward to supporting the next exciting phase of the Club’s future journey in 2022/23.”
Cambridge United Head of Commercial, Neil Rowe added: “It’s excellent to see successful, local businesses such as Intelligent Membranes increasing their commercial involvement at the Football Club, with even further news on their growing partnership to follow very soon.
“I’m sure the recognition of the Club’s heritage by maintaining the Habbin name, will be appreciated by many Cambridge United supporters.
“We’re thrilled to have Adam, Alex and their team back on board for the new season and look forward to providing their family a warm welcome once more at the Abbey when we get underway.”
