Club backs 'Safe Haven 4 Caitlin' campaign...

Cambridge United is welcoming Caitlin Passey and her family to Monday's game, in a bid to raise awareness of their SafeHaven4Caitlin campaign. Caitlin, who has tragically been diagnosed with Juvenile Batten Disease, will be Mascot on Boxing Day, alongside her brother, Oliver.

The family are aiming to raise the funds in-order to adapt their home and provide a 'Safe Haven for Caitlin'. Significant investment is required and we urge our supporters to show their support.

The whole family has been invited to this year's Boxing Day fixture, where they will be treated to our Hospitality offering in the Layrd Design Lounge. First Team players will wear 'SafeHaven4Caitlin' warm-up shirts, which will be signed and auctioned off in aid of the campaign.

To read more about their story or to donate towards the fundraise, please click here.

No Home Kit...

We are joining clubs and fans up and down the football pyramid to take part in #NoHomeKit; swapping our home colours for our away kit to raise money and make sure everyone in the UK has access to a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.

A bucket collection for Shelter - the housing and homelesness charity - will also be taking place around the ground at the game, so please bring your spare change and help make a difference.

If you require disabled parking, please call the Club on 01223 566500.

Alternatively, supporters can cycle or scoot to the game. The Abbey Stadium is home to both bicycle and Voi scooter racks, allowing fans to park their ride safely whilst at the ground. If driving to the ground, supporters are reminded not to park on the drives or grass verges of local residents. This reminder comes following reports of supporters parking at Cambridge Dialysis Centre on Ditton Road, which has meant that patients have been unable to attend treatment appointments.

Supporter Behaviour...

Cambridge United would like to remind its supporters of new tougher measures and stronger sanctions relating to anti-social and criminal behaviours at football grounds across the country.

The FA, Premier League and EFL have introduced a new set of actions, which will be implemented across all English football leagues this season and are backed by the Football Supporters’ Association.

The new measures target activity such as entering the pitch without permission, carrying or using smoke bombs or pyrotechnics and throwing objects - as well as drug use and discriminatory behaviour.

These acts are dangerous, illegal and have severe consequences. They have no place in football, or anywhere. Click here for more information.
