Cambridge United's U18s won their second straight game with a 2-0 win at Charlton Athletic...
With a free week due to a break in the South East Youth Alliance League, a friendly fixture against the Addicks was arranged.
After a tight, competitive first half in which the U's missed a number of good goalscoring opportunities, goalkeeper Tom Finch twice denied Charlton from taking the lead early in the second half with a couple of fine saves.
It provided the springboard for a fine finish to the game, as U16 George Munday and Amaru Kaunda found the net to put United firmly in control, which they never looked like relinquishing.
Next up for the U's youngsters is a friendly game against Kinetic Academy this weekend before league action recommences at home on Saturday 27th August at 11am.
