Cambridge United is delighted to announce that Sarah Wiltshire has signed for Cambridge United Women...
The 31-year-old joins from Watford Ladies and arrives with a host of international and WSL experience.
After starting her career at Arsenal, Wiltshire signed for Watford in 2008 where she spent six seasons before joining Yeovil Town.
After winning promotion to the WSL with the Glovers, Wiltshire made a brief stop at Manchester City before further spells at Yeovil, Tottenham and most recently Watford.
"I am really excited," Wiltshire said upon signing. "It's a Club that is on the up and has shown great ambition. It just felt right.
"I hope to use my experience to help the rest of the team and together I am sure we can have a really good season."
Manager Darren Majoram added, “Sarah is obviously an outstanding player, and her signing is a massive coup for us and shows our intentions.
"Not only does it offer us quality to add to our attacking options, but also Sarah will be able to pass on her experience and advice to our young players and help their development.
"What impressed me most from the first time we spoke was how humble, committed and hard working Sarah is. These are important qualities to us, and already she has fitted seamlessly into the team."
U's fans can watch Sarah and the rest of the team in action when they kick-off their season at the Abbey Stadium on Sunday 21st August against Norwich City.
Tickets are available now for £5 Adults whilst all Under 18s and Season Ticket Holders go FREE!
Season Ticket Holders can claim their free ticket by logging into their account at CUFCTickets.com.
United's Women have four fixtures at the Abbey this season, with Cambridge City and Actonians two of the other three visitors.
