Cambridge United's First Year Scholars received their GCSE results on Thursday to much success...
Dan Cavey- Evans, Liam Chadwick, Mo Habib, Reece Hipwell, George Hoddle, George Scales, Ronan Ismali, Amaru Kaunda and Patrick Staszewski all received their eagerly-awaited results this week, which they have studied for at the Club alongside their footballing education.
The group achieved some outstanding results, with five grade 9’s (A*), four grade 8’s (A) and six grade 7’s (B) awarded, outlining the Academy's emphasis on producing well-rounded individuals who are keen to maximise their potential.
Harsh Joshi, Head of Education said, "We are proud of the dedication and hard work of our first-year scholars GCSE’s results and delighted to celebrate their outstanding grades. Well done to all the scholars and their parents, whose support has been so critical in an exceptional past few years for this group being the first cohort to return to the usual routine of exams and with so much disruption over the last three years with the pandemic.
"We strive to support our players in their life off the pitch as much as we do on it. The Academy continues to focus on the holistic development of our players and the group all deserve great credit for their commitment to their education. Their journey with us now continues as they start their Sporting Excellence Professional (SEB) and BTEC qualifications next week with students studying A-Levels as well.
"They haven’t let the difficulties of previous years hold them back and for this, the hard work and dedication they have shown in abundance, we are extremely proud!"
The lads now prepare themselves for their SEP, BTEC qualifications and A-Level qualifications.
