The full back, who joined The U’s from Sudbury, played the full 90 minutes, as Lee Bircham’s men had thought they had done enough to win the game following JJ Lacey’s late strike giving the Tudor’s the lead in the 90th minute, but it wasn’t to be as the visitors drew level in the sixth minute of stoppage time through Joshua Oyinsan.
Hemel Hepstead and Liam Bennett will next look to progress in the FA Cup, as they make the short trip to Ware on Saturday.
Mamadou Jobe, after impressing on his U’s debut against Oxford in the Papa John’s Trophy joined St. Neots Town on loan and earnt the plaudits on his debut, slotting in next to Charlie Johnson at the heart of the Saints’ defence. Playing the full 90 minutes as St. Neots ran out as comfortable 4-1 winners against Welwyn Garden City.

Tom Dickens was also on the winning side this weekend, as he played the entire game in The Clarets’ 3-2 win over Chippenham Town. A brace from Charlie Sheringham, as well as a goal from former Premier League striker Simeon Jackson earned The Clarets all three points, seeing Robbie Simpson’s side move up to 11th in the National League South table.
Lewis Simper was missing from Yeovil Town’s clash with Stockport County, as he recovers from his injury. The Glovers moved into the National League play-offs following a 3-0 victory over ten man Stockport.
Thankyou to Simon Gill for providing the photos of Liam Bennett playing for Hemel Hempstead.
