Cambridge United are raising money in order to bring 'FourFourMoo' back to The Abbey, permanently...
As you are no doubt aware, the summer just past has seen 'Cows' dotted around numerous locations throughout Cambridge, which has proved extremely popular with viewers around the city.
Proving to be one of the most popular 'Cows' - especially for avid U's fans, was the Cambridge United themed 'FourFourMoo', positioned outside Parkside Swimming Pool.
Following the conclusion of the exhibition, the 'Cows' will now be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the charity Break, who operate throughout the East Anglian region with particular concentration in the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Break give vulnerable children and young people the time, support, and love they need to achieve their full potential.
On the 23rd of September, the 'Cows' will take centre stage at auction to raise money for the charity, Break. The auction will take place at 7pm at the Graduate Hotel and will be hosted by celebrity auctioneer, and TV personality Charles Hanson. Charles is famous for his appearances on BBC's Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and Flog it.
This will be our opportunity to purchase the Cambridge United 'Cow' which will then, hopefully, be showcased at The Abbey Stadium in the future - much like on Saturday, where 'FourFourMoo' was situated outside The Abbey Arms.
If you wish to make a donation, you can do so by clicking here, or alternatively, if you want to donate more than £20, please contact Cambridge United Supporter Liaison Officer, Dave Matthew-Jones.
If successful in the bid, any money raised above the auction price will be donated to the Break charity. Equally, if unsuccessful in our bid, all money that was raised will still be donated to the charity, however, donations over £50 will be refunded.
