A fantastic opportunity to join the Cambridge United Community Trust has arisen, an award-winning charity striving to use the power of sport and the brand of Cambridge United FC to empower our community and change lives...
The Community Trust is looking for a Mental Health Officer to lead the delivery on a number of their successful programmes, including its award winning ‘Mind Your Head’ school-based mental-health programme promoting positive physical and mental health.
These programmes utilise the power of the Club badge to reach out to young people and share the importance of mental health. The Mind Your Head programme has improved mental health literacy of thousands of young people across a number of schools in the area and has been recognised on a national level by the ‘all-party parliamentary group for a fit and healthy childhood.’ To get a greater feel for the programme, view this short video here.
The Community Trust is seeking a personable, motivated and passionate individual to join the team to strengthen their Wellbeing and Inclusion offer in a variety of settings, dedicated to improving the awareness of mental health and preventative strategies for young people and those with learning difficulties.
The role will include expanding their current mental health offer in schools, delivering both universal and targeted mental health interventions, as well as specific sessions that provide a space for participants to use sport as a tool to support their physical and mental health.
If you are passionate about instilling young people with the tools to understand their own mental health, this job could be for you. Click here for application details and full job description, with the closing date for applying being at 12pm on the 19th August 2021. The successful applicant would be required to start as soon as possible.
To apply, please send a CV and a cover letter (of no more than two pages) to recruitment@cambridge-united.co.uk.
