The Week Ahead: Third Round Draw, Away Days & FA Youth Cup

It's another full-on week at the Abbey Stadium as the Christmas footballing schedule approaches...

Cambridge United will find out their FA Cup Third Round opponents tonight at 7pm before the televised final second round tie between Boreham Wood and St Albans City.

U's fans will be able to tune in and watch during ITV's live coverage of the draw or follow via the Emirates FA Cup social media channels on Twitter and Facebook.

It's the first time that United have reached the Third Round stage in five years and with Premier League and EFL Championship clubs entering the competition, it's must-watch viewing for all U's supporters.

After four home games in a row, United are back on the road this week with two away games, starting at Cheltenham on Tuesday. Tickets and iFollow Match Passes are available so whether you are making the journey or not, you can get behind the U's.

The U18s are in FA Youth Cup action at the Abbey Stadium on Wednesday with a Third Round clash against the U's of Oxford. Tickets cost just £5 for Adults and £1 for Kids and with it being one of the biggest events of the Academy's calendar, the support of the United faithful is much encouraged and appreciated.

Only the Main Stand will be open for this fixture and entry into the stadium is via e-ticket only. Supporters can buy their tickets from cufctickets.com, selecting e-ticket delivery and scanning their way through the turnstiles via a mobile device.

The First Team then head to Charlton on Saturday for the first time since 1992 and over 1200 away tickets have been already sold. Supporters can join the Amber Army by booking their tickets online before 12pm on Friday. Tickets are also on sale from the Valley on Matchday.

On Sunday, Head Groundsman Ian Darler is inviting the public to join him for a 5.6 mile walk from the Abbey Stadium to help him reach his goal of walking one million steps by January 2022.

He is almost there, having already reached 750,000 steps but needs the help of the Cambridge United family to get over the line. If you would like to get your walking boots on, meet Ian and the accompanying party at the Abbey Stadium on Sunday 12th December at 9:45am.

Ian is aiming to raise £10,000 for Shout 85258 so if you would like to donate to the cause, please visit his JustGiving page.

Finally, with just a few weeks to go until Christmas now is the time to get your Cambridge United gifts from the Club Shop. Home, Away and Third Shirts are all back in-stock and there are loads of festive fillers available in-store and online at CUFCDirect.com.

Looking for something more unique? The Club's Turnstile range has a whole host of personalised United gifts for supporters to snap up ahead of the festive season, including pillows, towels, mugs and aprons.
