Five of Cambridge United’s six loan exports were in action on Saturday for their respective clubs…
Despite falling to defeat against Redditch, Liam Bennett was awarded Peterborough Sports’ man of the match after creating several good chances in the first half. The full back played the full 90 minutes on his debut for the Turbines.

Many thanks to Harry Cottenden from @DeleteCancerFC who chose right back Liam Bennett as his MOM this afternoon!
Despite the result, an assured debut performance from Liam, well played!#PSLFC pic.twitter.com/6Rq1HE31zk
Making his return to the Beach Boys, Lewis Simper won the man of the match after his late strike salvaged a point for Concord Rangers, as they drew 2-2 with Braintree Town. The game also saw Mamadou Jobe make his first start for Chris Search’s side, with the centre half earning plaudits from his boss after the draw. Both played the full 90 minutes.

Leon Davies impressed on his Weymouth debut, playing the entire game as well as assisting Brandon Goodship’s second-half equaliser. However, it wasn’t to be for the full back as the Terras fell to defeat to Torquay United.
Havant and Waterlooville were unfortunate in their 3-1 defeat against Bath City in the National League South, with Will Mannion starting in goal for the Hawkes.
Elsewhere, Tom Dickens had a free weekend as Chelmsford City’s game against St. Albans was postponed due to the visitors involvement in the FA Cup.
