The Week Ahead: Papa John's Trophy & Doncaster Postponement

After a hectic start to the season, Cambridge United's schedule slows down a touch due to this Saturday's match at Doncaster Rovers being postponed...

Three international call-ups for Rovers has meant that this weekend's match will be rearranged, leaving a free weekend for Mark Bonner's side.

The U's are back in action on Tuesday night though, taking on Oxford United in the first match of the Papa John's Trophy group stage. Kick-off is at 7pm and tickets are available for the Main Stand only, priced at £12 for Adults, £8 for Concessions and £1 for U18s.

The summer transfer window closes on Tuesday night at 11pm (BST), so keep it here at cambridge-united.co.uk incase any last-minute deals are confirmed ahead of the closure.

Cambridge United Women return home to face Kent Football United on Sunday at 2pm off the back of a 6-0 win against Harlow Town. U's Season Ticket Holders and all U16s can watch home games at St Neots for free of charge, whilst general admission is £3.

The Academy Schoolboy age groups have been taking part in the Europaths Football Cup over the past few days and the U's have been represented brilliantly by our youngsters, with the U13s winning their competition whilst the U10s and U11s finished runners up. The U9s and U12s will aim to follow in the footsteps of the other age groups today as the competition comes to a close.

After three draws in their opening three games, the Youth Team got their first win on Saturday with a 5-1 victory over Southend United 5-1. Two goals from Kai Yearn and one each from Dan Barton, Glenn McConnell and Brandon Njoku made it a clean-sweep of victories for Cambridge United over the weekend.

There is no league game for the U18s this weekend and instead, friendlies with Norwich City and Ipswich Town have been arranged.

Finally, places are being quickly snapped up for the Harrison Dunk Golf Day, taking place on Wednesday 15th September. Buy your tickets now for the chance to play with the likes of Josh Coulson, Joe Ironside, John Taylor or Wes Hoolahan.

United in Endeavour.
